چکیده
A 62-year-old female was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) t(16;21)(p11;q22). She achieved complete hematological remission after induction therapy and underwent umbilical cord blood stem cell transplantation (CBT). At 150 days the CBT, a bone marrow examination revealed relapse. We treated patient venetoclax plus azacitidine as salvage therapy. After five cycles of therapy, died due to disease progression. The prognosis AML t(16;21)(p11;q22) is very poor owing high rate early relapse even hematopoietic transplantation. Therefore, novel therapeutic approach required improve outcomes.

Sequential azacitidine plus lenalidomide combination for elderly patients with untreated acute myeloid leukemia.
There are limited treatment options for older patients with acute myeloid leukemia and prognosis of these patients remains poor, thereby warranting development of novel therapies. We evaluated the efficacy and safety of azacitidine in combination with lenalidomide as front-line therapy for older patients with acute myeloid leukemia. Patients ≥ 60 years of age with untreated acute myeloid leukem...
متن کاملA Rare Case of Acute Myeloid Leukemia with Translocation (3:3) Presenting with Features of Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia
Background: Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) with translocation (3,3) is a form of AML that may present de novo or may arise from a previous myelodysplastic syndrome. It is often associated with normal or elevated peripheral blood platelet count and increased bone marrow megakaryocytes with associated multi lineage dysplasia. A subset of patients present with hepatosplenomegaly while a few cases h...
متن کاملUnrelated cord blood transplantation for adult patients with de novo acute myeloid leukemia.
We report the results of unrelated cord blood transplantation (CBT) for 18 adult patients with de novo acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The median age was 43 years, the median weight was 55.2 kg, and the median number of cryopreserved nucleated cells was 2.51 x 107/kg. Seventeen patients had myeloid reconstitution and the median time to more than 0.5 x 109/L absolute neutrophil count was 23 days. ...
متن کاملCord blood transplantation from unrelated donors in adults with high-risk acute myeloid leukemia.
Clinical studies focused on disease-specific outcomes of cord blood transplant (CBT) from unrelated donors are limited. We analyzed the outcome and prognostic factors of 49 adults with high-risk acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) receiving single-unit CBT from unrelated donors after myeloablative (MA) conditioning at a single institution. Conditioning regimens were based on the combination of thi...
متن کاملCombined venetoclax and alvocidib in acute myeloid leukemia
More effective treatment options for elderly acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients are needed as only 25-50% of patients respond to standard-of-care therapies, response duration is typically short, and disease progression is inevitable even with some novel therapies and ongoing clinical trials. Anti-apoptotic BCL-2 family inhibitors, such as venetoclax, are promising therapies for AML. Nonethel...
